What’s Better Than One Amp?
When running two amplifiers, it is essential to have a way to split your signal, which in concept would seem simple. Often when guitarist use a y cable or standard ABY box, the overall signal is reduced when the second amplifier is turned on as well as a loss in tone. This is the most common complaint when it comes to running a stereo amp setup.
To reduce this effect a buffer circuit is needed to ensure that the guitar’s pickups always see an appropriate input impedance controlled by the design of the circuits. Our ABY Splitter pedal has 1 input, and 2 outputs each with it’s own high quality op-amp buffer.
So if you want to run two different amplifiers, or want a great way to split your signal, this is what you need on your pedal board. We can also do buffered ABY boxes that have more than 2 outputs upon request.
